Below are steps to obtain your API token for your Moneris code in QA and production. I've gotten this question frequently, hence this article.
Obtain API token in Canadian QA environment:
1. Check the sample code and integration guides with a code editor as you will see sample API Tokens linked to QA StoreIDs that you can use.
a) If you are using the generic test stores such as store1, store2, store3, store5, the API token is "yesguy". We will not be enabling any additional permissions on the demouser account.
b) If you are using your own custom test store, usually starting with gwca##### or monca#####, then you have to login to obtain the API Token then insert into your code.
i) Go to https://esqa.moneris.com/mpg
ii) Login with your username (your e-mail from the developer portal), your store_ID, your dev portal password
iii) Click Admin menu
iv) Select Store Settings from the drop down menu
v) Copy and paste the API token into a notepad or your code directly to avoid manual-entry typos.
If you receive, a permission denied error, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with the screen capture of the entire page, not just the error. Be sure to indicate this is for "Moneris Gateway - QA Canada"
Important: To ensure you are served quicker, please copy and paste your test store id in plain-text
Obtain API token in Canadian Production:
1. Go to https://www3.moneris.com/mpg
2. Login with your username (that you created during your activation), your store_ID, your password
3. Click Admin menu
4. Select Store Settings from the drop down menu
5. Copy and paste the API token into a notepad or your code directly to avoid manual-entry typos.
If you receive, a permission denied error, please contact the person in your organization or business that liaises/interacts with Moneris Support. If you are asked to send an e-mail, be sure to send it with the screen capture of the entire page, not just the error.
Important: To ensure you are served quicker, please copy and paste your store id in plain-text.

If I have my own test account like monca##### how do I know my store id? I never set one up.
nvmd, the monca##### is the store id. So for all of those that get confused like I did. Your email address is your username, the store is the name next to the store front icon and the password is the one you setup for your developer account originally.
