Refund Configuration

Hello,

We have a 3rd party developing integrations with Moneris. The 3rd party is having trouble getting refunds to work using the JavaAPI. They sent us the following question "Are there any configurations in Moneris for refunds that have to be turned on?". Are there any particular configuration settings to enable refunds or are refunds inherently available?

  • Hello, there are no special configurations unless the transaction is an Independent Refund. Refund (a refund transaction referencing a previous purchase or capture) is part a standard transaction set.

    To continue supporting you, please have your integrator perform the following:

    1. Gather error messages and request logs

    2. Contact our support teams via the contact center  

    a) Call the contact center and inquire about the refund issue as well as the error codes. 1-866-562-4354

    b) Leave the request and response data below for a quick review (depending on the issue and response codes they may still need to call in ).
