Does a $0 preauthorization completion instantly release the preauthorized funds or is there a processing delay?

In the documentation, it is mentioned that creating a $0 pre-authorization completion would reverse a pre-authorization. I would like to validate whether the preauthorized funds are instantly released when the $0 completion is created or whether processing delays apply.

    The funds lock created by preauth do not immediately clear with this process at present time. It would take a few days.

    We do not know nor maintain metrics on the length of time to clear the preauth as they differ from bank to bank. Each bank has it's own clearing timeline as well.
