SetCryptType means? or what is it used for?

Can any one guide what this SetCryptType is used for in Moneris API?

resaddcc.SetCryptType(7);

What does 7 means?

Does it means all my credit card info will be sent to Moneris in Encrypted from?

    That is also referred to as the ECI or e-commerce indicator. It simply indicates how the card number was acquired. Values are as follows. API/Hosted Paypage based transactions would be a 7 unless you use 3D secure services or Interac Online.

    1- Mail/Telephone order Single
    2- Mail/Telephone order Recurring
    3- Mail/Telephone order Installment
    4- Mail/Telephone order Unknown classification
    5- Authenticated transaction
    6- Authentication Attempted
    7- SSL transaction
