Hosted paypage asynchronous transaction response get transaction number

Is there a way to retrieve the transaction number in the xml response from the hosted paypage flow? We are receiving the async response without any issues but we don't see the transaction number in the xml.

Is our only option here to call the API status check after?

The transaction number(txn_num) would be part of the POST/GET response sent to the Response URL

Just realized that in production we see <txn_num> attribute but in the test environments we don't. Is that normal or does it depend on the test store? We're using store2 and store5.

We were able to expose the transaction number through the paypage configuration - Configure response fields, checked setting "Return the txn_number. This field is used to perform follow-ons"
